Salt is one of the early cosmetic elements. Salt mines have been a source of stone to human societies since the dawn of history from Japan, through Europe and even the Middle East and Israel. The salt - whose absorption is most effective when performed externally, through the skin cells - relieves muscle pain, helps treat high blood pressure problems, assists in inflammation, accelerates skin regeneration, helps treat acne and more. The unique conditions in the Dead Sea give salt more potency, in part because of minerals found in high concentrations - electrolytic chloride and bromine mainly, but also magnesium, calcium and potassium.
